Our Mission

What we offer

Per Vocem Vita offers free one-day workshops to primary schools across Melbourne. These workshops are run by teen volunteers who are passionate about community service, public speaking, and debating. All of our volunteers have been trained in how to deliver our content in the most engaging and childsafe ways possible.

All of our work is apolitical, and we aim to look at speeches for their educational value, not aiming to further the point of view that they possess!
What we do
Workshop Experience

What happens in our workshops?

In our workshop, we walk your students through a series of important public speaking and debating concepts. Our award-winning curriculum ensures that the experience is not only fun, but is a deeply applicable learning experience:

  • Each day starts with an overview of what will be happening. Students who are ‘primed’ for what they are soon to learn are shown to be more focussed on content and comfortable in their learning environment
  • Each student will rotate through 3 different stations, covering key debating principles, namely;
    • Speechwriting – Using their writing skills to compose a strong speech
    • Manner – Learning presentation skills and the way that they should talk to engage their audience
    • Rebuttal – Critical thinking skills

We work together to find a date in December

We inform you of how many volunteers and who will be coming to your school

We run our workshop at your school, using our award-winning curriculum

After our workshop, we work with you to figure out what could level up our workshops
